    Yeah, I've read that version.

    Actually, I've read 'The Iron Age' again and there IS a montage hastily recapping some of Iron Man's early adventures, but that hardly reveals how they've been adjusted in the context of the post-Cold War world. That miniseries was written in the 1990's...at a time when Iron Man early adventures, even as per the sliding timescale, could still fit into the period before the fall of the Iron Curtain. But, given the current timeline of around 15 years (give or take), 'currently', Iron Man's origin and early adventures would be set in the late 1990's WELL after the end of the Cold War.

    So who were Black Widow, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, Red Barbarian, Melter and other working for?!

    Wasn't it explained that they worked for evil corporate, multinationals mostly?

    Just remembered this thread while I was reading up on the upcoming 'Iron Man Season One' OGN. Hopefully, that shall answer some of the questions posed in this thread.
