Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
I understand that orders in the UK, at least, had to be allocated because the demand was so high.

I really liked the art: very good likenesses. I was sad to see what happened to Delta: between this and the Dominion invading Betazed in the Dominion War, the Federation member worlds don't feel like the safe haven they used to. They seem to have the Doctors voice down: I'm looking forward to seeing if the same is true of the Enterprise crew. Nice intro. line for Data.

Had a quick flick through, not 100% sold on the art style, though the likenesses are some of the best I've ever seen for a screen-to-comic. Decided to trade-wait as there's no danger of it not making it to paperback and I've got a pretty full pull list right now.
Yeah, I'm not a hundred per cent on the art either. I mean, it's very good, definitely some of the most photo-realistic art I've seen not done by Alex Ross...but that isn't necessarily a good thing. Like Ross' work this felt very static to me and it was emotionally steril. I didn't feel a real sense of danger, or any other emotion for that matter, in any of the panels despite the circumstances going on in the story. The photo-realism really made it feel like an authentic cross over between the two shows, which made the inner fanboy in me squee but the reader in me was a little let down as I just couldn't connect to the story like I would have if the art was more stylized and captured the emotions of the characters better.
Still, the dialog was dead on and it is early in the series yet so the strength of the story could very well overcome my discontent with the art.
I liked Star Trek when I was younger, but I'm not a big Doctor Who fan, nor a fan of crossovers in general. Count me out of the UK nerdgasms.
Currently enjoying: Batman, Batwoman, Dial H, Detective Comics, American Vampire, Saga, The Manhattan Projects, Locke and Key, Atomic Robo, East of West...
Man, I read that first issue yesterday, and had to immediately write a long review about it, just because I was so crazy excited about it: http://theidiolect.com/comics/they-a...y-assimilated/
I think the realistic art helped a lot, because it's always frustrating in these TV adaptations when the likenesses aren't so hot, and here they were dead on. I agree, though, that it is oddly static at times, especially with the random aliens and walk-on characters. But I love how well it captures the tone of the two series right off the bat. Mind you, I am a fan of crossovers in general, and a big fan of both of these series, so it couldn't be more up my alley from the start.
I was very psyched about this as an american who discovered Dr Who in the seventies lusting after any scifi to arrive on TV. I am very disappointed about this crossover. Slow start, toomuch fan service and art that is more elaborate than the action needs. As of yet the Legion/Trek series started better.
"The folly of mistaking a paradox for a discovery, a metaphor for a proof, a torrent of verbiage for a spring of capital truths, and oneself for an oracle, is inborn in us." (Paul Valery) - thus my blog In extremis
Finally got around to reading this today and have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed. Though we saw the ST universe depicted for several pages, none of the TNG crew are depicted until the final panel. And why did we have that whole deal about the Doctor, Amy and Rory in Egypt when it seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the storyline? Perhaps things will start moving next issue, but this was an extremely slow start--despite the good characterization and decent artwork.

I may be a bit biased because Scott Tipton is a friend, but I was a fan before that and WOW - the Doctor's dialogue. It's just dripping in Matt Smith.
I got the first issue and thought it was a very good set up issue. The art is amazingly lifelike. Overall it was OK, but I know it's just getting started.
"That's not just "one man"! That's TONY FREAKING STARK. You're intel should've warned us that he was James Bond and "Q" wrapped in the same guy!" Cobra
When did it get released?
Cause it looks like it sold out already.
Saw some guy selling it for $60 on Amazon..
damn I hate it when that happens.
It seems to be readily available at cover price or less from several dealers that showed up when I did a google search so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Otherwise there is already a second printing announced that you can preorder, or you can get a digital copy on comixology.
