This story doesn't need to be warped up in issue 13. It could continue again after Divided We Stand story line. Or the DWS story line could be part of the current story line.

After Reed's defeat the city and the Children of Tomorrow probably won't magically disappear.

Zombie Reed Richards, before he was a zombie, went crazy after his son was killed and wantonly caused damage with no possible positive outcome.

It also appears that the very composition of Ultimate Reed's universe precludes the type of endless time travel loops that the 616 Nathaniel and Franklin Richards appear to have used to eventually gain the wisdom to defeat the Mad Celestials. Ultimate Reed Richards has to get it right the first time and cleverly choose to accelerate evolution for a thousand years inside the dome.

Ultimate Reed Richards is neither perfect nor crazy. He made a decision, a series of decisions, but decisions that are more understandable in a version of the Marvel universe with the likes of Ultimate Nick Fury who is supposed to be one of the good guys.
This is a pretty important observation^

Hickman's showing us two possible fates for Reed Richards in two universes. I'm glad to be reading both.

Hickman wins. That's all I've got to say.

I disagree with the people who are saying his story's getting swallowed up by Humphries. I'm inclined to think that the hand off was planned and at the end of the day I think that the only influence Humphries is having on the plot is establishing subplots he's going to explore in DWF. Even though the big man is leaving before all the political fall out gets REALLY juicy, we still owe him everything coming down the pipes here pretty quick: Hickman's name is the only writer credit on the cover of the issue in which Reed blows up Washington (probably my favorite event level threat that I've ever read in a comic =D).

I hope that Hickman leaves us satisfied with his last issue.
Marriage Era Spidey bashers are shameful opportunists (Like you REALLY didn't enjoy a single Spidey comic in 20 years)
Conversely, BND haters REALLY need to get over their continuity elitism already

That's what I was thinking. I hope they don't ultimize too many characters at once, especially if they intend to kill them.
    Hey, Thanos, baby!
