I don't have any boxes any more, just the single file cabinet. But it would've made a big difference before I got rid of about 3/4 of my comics. I think that the file cabinet is easier than a stack of boxes, but I've heard that they have something that's sort of a tweener.
I'm not quite ready for digital yet. But probably within the next few years.
You know, I remember when I was kid, and I had a couple of old Marvel comics... and I must have been only 8 or something, and the comics already looked worn out from all the careless handling, flipping pages, tears... On top of that, I had drawn mustaches on some of the characters, and pupils into the eyes of pupilless characters, flames out of gun barrels where there wasn't supposed to be any...
Those were in fact my most valuable comics, since I could read them at any time, and go "Oh! I remember drawing that mustache when I was six! Good times!"

I understand the OP. I spend a lot of time collecting, organizing, and cataloging my collection. If something gets damaged, I'm upset. For all the work I put into my collection (which, yes, I read everything), I'd just rather nothing get damaged or lost.
Tell me again: How is it that everybody on the Internet is smarter than everyone else on Earth?
Its also the fact that it happened to be my most favorite comic book I own. If it was any of my Marvel or DC books I would have never posted this. Id bend those books for fun.
