Avengers vs X-Men to bring back several Marvel characters?

ive been hearing that towards the end of the event the phoneix is supposed to bring several heroes back like nightcrawler, jean grey, and some others...... anyone believe this?

phew. for a second i thought you were trying to start a rumor that these characters were returning. it's hard to just take new posters at their word nowadays. :)

As far as Jean goes, Brevoort's been pretty firm on his Formspring and in interviews that she's not coming back in AvX. Unless you think he's fibbing to rile up Jean fans, that seems about as concrete an answer as we're going to get.

Clint came back because of House of M. Maybe if No More Mutants can bring back a dead Avenger, No More Avengers can bring back an X-Men or two.

Well, Cyclops has been going on about the Phoenix being a force of rebirth: maybe we'll get Wasp and Nightcrawler back. In other Avengers fighting heroes news, the last issue of Hulk Smash Avengers came out today.
