Not bad, not bad at all.
I'm in a vast minority as I do not think that Azzerello's Wonder Woman is all that great. In fact, I think it falls at best behind the last run with the exception of Picoult's run. (Yes, I know I will get stoned for that comment.) I am glad that the character is getting all the attention, I just do not find anything of great excitement about the book or the characters in it. (Same goes for Action Comics...but then I haven't really liked anything Morrison has done since Animal Man and Doom Patrol.)

Aquaman definitely needs to be on that list as should Supergirl. I would probably rank things more like...
    10) Wonder Woman
    09) Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E.
    08) Birds of Prey
    07) The Flash

On a somewhat similar note Newsarama had Wonder Woman at the #2 spot on their One Year Later: 10 Characters Who Should Thank DC's NEW list. Here's the write up:

You can't fault Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang for a lack of ambition. Whereas the other members of DC's Trinity came through The New 52 with cosmetic changes or broken marriages (poor Lois and Clark), Diana's makeover was more obvious -- that new costume! -- and more subtle.

The New 52 Wonder Woman lives up to her billing as a warrior princess more than she has done in recent years, while also being sent on the kind of epic adventures that place her firmly in the pantheon of gods and goddesses she's descended from. The two creators -- and Tony Atkins, who rotates with Chiang on art -- have firmly changed the tone and aesthetic of the book, taking it in a unique direction that's at once beautiful and horrific, and seems a million miles away from the character's adventures in the Justice League. For the first time in years, the character gets to be both a superhero and warrior at the same time, depending on what book you're reading, without either side being compromised. And as a result, she's seeing her best sales for years, too.

You've come a long way, baby. Now, please don't kill me for calling you "baby."

    @ Dr.Hurt

So if people love something/someone you don't they are fanboys? And let me guess, if they don't like something you worship (Morrison) they must be jealous haters, right? But thinking like that doesn't make YOU a fanboy, not at all...

Anyways, I think that list is pretty good, only I would include Action, put Animal #1 and WW #2.

Well i think that most people in here will agree that Batman is a pretty mediocre book that is very overrated. Also, Swamp Thing is by no means better than Animal Man or Action Comics.

So yes, when two Snyder books are so high in a list, a list which doesnt even have Action Comics in it, then yes whoever made it is a Snyder fanboy who's been carried by the hype. Even if you hate Morrison's guts, you cant seriously put Franky or Birds over Action, and i'm a big fan of those books.

The Batman book is in no way better than Action Comics. This isnt about Morrison or Snyder, it's about pure undisputed faults in the book. It's a mindless summer blockbuster and nothing more. If Daniel had written this 9 out of 10 posters in CBR would have seen those flaws. Now, its like the Emperor's new clothes.

I think Superman has been very underwhelming in the new 52,
From Action to Superman to Justice League.

If he was a second or third rate character and not the most iconic super hero ever and
one whom Warner Bros are banking heavy on to help launch there next wave of live action
movies (that hopefully extends to other characters and movies),
Then I may say Superman has been
a better then good character and title.
.... but it is Supeman and the stories and character developement put out in the first
nine months has been anything but....... SUPER .

I need to catch up on Action, so I can't comment on that, but Batman begins well and comes together in a really spectacular way as soon as the Court of Owls arc gathers momentum. Is it as good as Snyder's work on Detective last year? No, but it's very good work nonetheless, IMO.

I will never understand the undying love for Morrison. His run on Action has been lifeless, dull and lacking any amount of cohesive story. This run is the definition of "emperor's new clothes" as people go on extolling the virtues of his ability as if he were a new Jack Kirby. Not only would I put Frankenstein above Action, I would list most other DC books above it. The only outstanding virtue the book has is the art by Rags.
Even though I dont care for the current run of Wonder Woman at least there is a story and Cliff Chiang art. (But Tony Akins needs to not return.)

Agreed, I read issue 1 and kept asking myself "what are they seeing in this book?" Kept buying it and left them on a "to read" pile; just went and read it all a few days ago. Still found the book dull.
One doesn't need the validation of others to justify what they like.

How is Action dull and how is the story not cohesive?

    But anyway, that's off topic.
