I really should grab that second volume one day...or at least reread the first, as it has been so long.

If you do pick up Bedlam, let me know how it is, for I have only heard the highest of praises sung about it. Though, I would, of course, have to wait until the trade, should I decide to try it.

SBDB, I don't hate you, you just remind me of me at 17/18, when comics were the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS EVER, and I put my favourite characters up on pedestals, and so help any writer that messed with them in anyway. I've grown out of that now, you could say that I'm more cynical, but I feel I've grown past that view and I know just read comics for the story value. Occasionally I'll lapse back into Sentry/Void-era thinking, but mostly these days, I just wanna read good comics by good creators. If something's happening in comics or to a character I love (Superman) that I don't agree with, then it's over there, in my peripheral vision. I'll keep my eye on it, and if it seems like something interesting is happening, then I'll poke my head back in for a bit.

At the end of the day, it's always just comics.
