Funny. That must be the third or fourth different image of Iron Man in that iconic pose which people claim Land traced for the image on the right.

No. Mostly because that's not how Land works anymore, but also because that's not something I'd call an iconic pose for Iron Man. Land is not above tracing the same image many times.

You're almost sounding like those people who say he isn't tracing because sometimes the images don't quite line up.

DC are releasing 52 variant covers for JLA #1, the standard cover has the American flag in the background, while the variants with have something representing each state, Puerto Rico and Washington DC.

They're also launching Katana and Vibe solo series, because they're mental.

52? Jeez. No more moral high ground on variants, DC.

Oh, no, I'm fully aware he lightboxes much of his work, which is why Marvel love him - he's prolific & productive. I just don't like it when anyone gets hounded in the way he (and Bendis, and Fraction, and others) are on these boards especially when, in comparison to some of the shit that manages to make it to print, he's a lesser evil.

Just look at New Avengers #31 - each panel painstakingly and gloriously drawn by someone who might not actually have seen a woman, and so is photo-referencing sacks of potatoes on which he has placed wigs and lipstick.

When faced with that or Land's art, I'll go with Land. Yeah, there's better artists, yeah there's worse. He's not the anti-christ.
