I remember how much I enjoyed the first Men in Black. The second was okay, but after so much time in between I really can't get too excited about the third movie. After seeing the previews, it just seems like something that's worth waiting until it comes on HBO. Maybe that's just an inherent problem with movies where sequels take too long to come out.

i heard MIB 3 made 70 million dollar in 4 days and still called a disappointment (box-office-wise) because of money it had cost. film studios should really try to control their budgets. Unbelievable how costly some movies are, especially when you watch them, you can hardly tell the difference between a 150 million production and a 300 million one.

Saw it after Phoenix Comicon. Maybe 20 people in the theater. It was fun. I saw average rating. I wouldn't recommend full price to see it. Girls may not care for it cause there are no good female roles. Emma Thompson was barely in it though she did a good job. The ending was silly.

While you are right. MIB3 also had a bunch of production mishaps (started filming before script was finished, etc) that inflated budget even more. Even then the Studios were hoping for $80 mil so it wasn't like this was a Battleship or John Carter level of disappointment.

Anyway, I saw it and liked it. Much closer to 1 then awful, awful 2.

I enjoyed the first MIB and didnt like the second but as a fun SF,action the third is best in the series. Will Smith being fun as he is in this kind of film and Josh Brolin,Tommy Lee Jones show you can write over the top silly SF action and good actors will make it fun. The audience actually laughed and enjoyed themselves.

I wonder why in the world should people see MIB3 and i answered Will Smith and it was the correct answer for me personally.
