    That's what I was wondering.

Good ideas don't mean shit if the execution is terrible, which it is with Thor.

Iron Man was a good read under Ellis and stayed good under Daniel and Charles Knauf, but Fraction has managed to top those runs in my book.
    Better than the Knauf's run...?

I don't have much faith in Gillen after his meh work on SWORD, Godhunter and DA:Ares. Has he improved that much in his x-men and Thor issues that people are exited about him? Even if he did Land+3.99 doesn't sound very attractive either.

I hope this isn't true, but Bleeding Cool tends to be right on rumors like this. They reported the division from Schism fairly accurately. So I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here. While this will be great for the Iron Man comics, it makes me worry for Uncanny X-men. That book has been so solid since Gillen took over. He was able to relaunch the series in such a compelling way and I see his act as being one quite difficult to follow. Plus, if the rumors about Bendis taking over an X-book are true, I think Uncanny would be the most likely option since Marvel likes to put their top talent on top books. Even if Bendis's rep with Avengers is mixed, he's still a big enough name to warrant a shot at Uncanny X-men. I'm not sure how I would feel about that. It depends on how AvX ends, which at this point could go in so many different directions that it's impossible to really get too worried or excited.

I think Fraction's execution has been great - inconsistent - but great. From my reading experience, he's had more hits than misses when it comes to Iron Man.

Outside of Iron Fist with Brubaker, I agree. Iron Man is his work of art. He has more wins than losses when it comes to that run. It's really one of the better sustained runs. I haven;t been sold yet on Thor, though I'm sticking with it, and Defenders is improving steadily. That said, I'm looking forward to Gillen taking over. (Assuming it's true.) Frankly, Marvel needs this creative team shakeup badly. Oh, and they need to stop these meaningless events.
Trust me. I have a plan. -- Daniel Rand, the Immortal Iron Fist

I gave up on Fraction's Iron Man during the TWELVE issue Most Wanted Arc. O_O

For some reason I subjected myself to the Fear Itself trade this weekend, and it was bad. However, I'll agree, it wasn't as bad as Secret Invasion. I couldn't get past the first issue of his Thor, which is weird, cause I did like his one shot Thor books. Defenders has been entertaining so far, though I don't entirely agree with some of the character portrayals.

SWORD and the Ares mini were great! Especially SWORD. Was so sad to see that go.

You must really enjoy decompressed storytelling if you enjoy JMS's Thor.

JMS' Thor was decompressed yea, but it was more well plotted and methodical. Most other peoples decompressed stuff is done just to drag out a story for more $$$. I didn't get that feeling with JMS' Thor.

I sure did. I'm sorry, a few of his issues, especially when he found the Warriors 3 could have been told in 4 pages.
