Spectacular Spider-Man is without doubt the best series of Spady, each chapter was incredible and really deserved to go on the air for several years with the possibility of reaching the 90's series.
Ultimate Spiderman is nothing interesting in my opinion an insult to the comic of the same name, I know that this aimed at young children, but to my brother hates it and even my friends agree that this series is terrible, to the point that the series MTV is far superior to USM.
Sorry if there are spelling mistakes, use a translator because I am from Mexico and I'm not very good at writing in English

It's already better than from some people who are already in an English-speaking country, so there's that.

I actually thought that the MTV series was pretty well done and I wished it stuck around longer.

At least we understand you. A lot better than some posts I've seen.

I think that one has some flaws when it comes to MJ and continuity, but I did enjoy it and find it a pretty fun show

Bhuahahahahahaha!!!! This can't be a serious question. Ultimate is crap childsplay.

I couldn't sit through one episode when I was watching it with my lil bro. It was soooo bad and I felt like they were insulting Spiderman fans.

Spectacular was amazing and one of my all time fav cartoons. I just don't understand how Marvel can be so smart with their live action films yet so f'n stupid with their cartoons. Ugh!@!@!@R%#@Q$@!

I watched the first episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man back to back recently for comparison.

It's like night and day. Even with all that exposition they have in Ultimate, Spectacular was able to deliver so much more content and dives you into the world better.

Seriously, watch the two, and list off what you learn in each show. It's really astounding.

Ha ha ha... This is such no contest it's funny
All stories are imaginary, so you get to decide what's important and what isn't. Continuity is fluid.

Not even first seasons, just the first episodes.
    What Spectacular accomplishes:
    -Rundown of Spider-Man
-Shows Hammerhead, Enforcers, Doc Ock, the Vulture, Rhino and Sandman, Norman Osborn AND hints at "the big man".
-Gwen, Harry, Eddie Brock, Kurt Conners, Flash, Aunt May, even JJJ and Miss Brant actually show up in the first episode!
-Parker gets a job at Kurts.
-Parker's relationship with Harry is established.
-Beats the villains in the episode.
-All with the plot that nothing is going the way Peter was expecting for that day.

    Ultimate Spider-Man.
-Expositions background of Spidey, Uncle Ben.
-Nick Fury, but held off showing SHIELD
-MJ, Harry, Aunt May show up, JJJ doesn't show up in person.
-Frightful Four are villains, but they get away to be beaten next episode.
-Theme is Spider-Man's not responsible enough.
    -FOOD FIGHT

It's honestly amazing how much Ultimate Spider-Man isn't even trying.
