I think without the Phoenix, Jean is a lot more subtle than Sue. Sue is raw power and force whilst Jean is manipulation and misdirection.
At least that's how I'm taking it.
And I can't remember which poster said if Sue was stronger than Reed they'd quit: Reed is no more powerful than he was before the dome. He's just more experienced and intelligent. Power wise he's still the stretchy man. Plus it's been shown that Sue loses to Reed in 1 on 1 in the past.
Hopefully Divided we fall will finally plant Miles in the continuity of the other books. The (frankly godlike) Adi Granov cover seems to hint that.
"Predictable? If there were any more plot twists going on, we'd need M. Night Shyamalan to randomly appear at the end saying 'What a twist' before vanishing". - Kurolegacy on Ult X-Men #8.
Problem is I'm sure a lot of people still remember Bendis' complete ignoring of what was going on in The Ultimates just a few issues ago when he showed us Paris with everyone just going about their day normally despite the fact that the country right next to them just got eaten by a growing city. In fact, the only times we'll have seen any continuity between books will be back when Miles met Jessica and Divided We Fall (and even then it's entering in a month behind everyone else).
While I don't disagree that she is in fact powerful, I just think it's a bit much to put her on Jean's level in in terms of power. If the two ever came to fight with Jean only using her telekinesis against Sue's force fields, my bets would be on Jean hands down.

Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.
The status of the Ultimate Fantastic Four is slated for July, and Reed will soon communicate with everybodys favorite wall crawler.

Well I am guessing from Sue's uniform that there is already a Fantastic Four team assembled. We just need a book right. I think after Divided We Fall would be the most appropriate time.
I was always under the impression that Stark gave SHIELD access to his IronMan tech in the original Ultimates, so I'm suprised that there hasn't been a bunch of Iron Men (like the Giant Men) before now. SHIELD was so hot to get that technology and they've barely touched it until now.
I just noticed that Falcon's wings stiffen. Incredibly cool.
Anyone who doesn't like Miles Morales is a racist.

I believe that Ultimate Spider-Man's events are taking place in a compressed space of time (bearing in mind that Peter Parker's entire career as Spider-Man was only about a year and a half long), so it's quite feasible that for Miles, the world hasn't gone to hell yet. Especially since we know that a chunk of Miles' first issues actually takes place before Ultimate Fallout. It would seem that the stuff we're seeing now is actually happening in the quiet before the storm.
Also worth keeping in mind that although the issues of X-Men and Ultimates have been spread out across months, and a lot has gone on, all of this has practically happened overnight. I think (and I may be wrong, since I haven't read the entire thing back yet) that from the fall of SEAR to the destruction of Washington and the Nimrod attack, there has only been a couple of weeks. A skip forward of a couple of weeks for Miles and everything ties into DWF cleanly.
I think the biggest stick in the mud for continuity will actually be Spider-Men. This actually overlaps with DWF, but presumably takes place before it.
Actually lining up some of the events between comics, Jessica meets Miles a week after the Ultimates try their attack against the City fails. So by the way the city had been expanding, by the time we saw Aunt May and Gwen in France, there should have been some reaction to the City.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.
