Kurt Busiek Says:"Best Avengers Run, Steve Englehart's run in the 1970s. With Roy Thomas's run that preceded it close behind, and the Conway/Shooter/Michelinie run that followed close behind that
This is such a 1995 promotional tactic
"Look! It's Wally West! And now he's gay!!!!!!"
In 2012 is friggen sad.
Nothing's gonna happen without a warning
Didn't Didio mention on twitter it's not gonna be Wally West?
I think the joker is way more bi-sexual than just gay. He strikes me as a person who wants what he wants when he wants, it doesn't matter if its man, woman, alien, demon, or whatever-ite. To make him take a hardline on anything except anarchy seems like it would take something away from the character.
Im ok with this move for the most part but i was really worried on that one
about the other options i doubt is the Joker cause of his current faceless state, is building to something and i doubt that it will be that he is gay
also kind of makes something weird with the whole Harley Quinn situation
Plastic man, it could be but i dont think he is iconic enough
Alan Scott, I think this one has the most chances of being gay and building as such in an organic way for many reasons
New Green Lantern, I was thinking for sure it is the new Green Lantern, it kind of plays with the whole iconic thing, but DC also said it was going to be a reintroduced character, maybe not
Atom, i dont know, i heard some ppl say that its a new female atom cause in the fcbd the arm looks like breast and the hips are wide but it could still just some error in the drawing, there is not enough evidence to support it, and if it is a male, I dont think its going to be Ray Palmer, it was already said that Ryan Choi was going to be Atom on the JL, but that was a long time ago and there might be a change, however palmer is just like new GL, just an iconic name but not an iconic character, but if it is Palmer, he was already introduced, but not as Atom, so it would technically count?
too many questions on this one
Superboy, it really doesnt make any sense, he is already established in the DCnU
About this write up: (One question asked at the DC panel today at the Kapow comic convention in London, was about DC co-publisher Dan DiDio’s interview with The Advocate. Specifically over the decision not to change any character’s sexual orientation when relaunching the DC Universe. At the time Dan stated they would introduce new LGBT characters rather than switch orientation, but the question asked why DC would switch race, size, age, all sorts of identifying features, but not orientation.)
Can someone tell me what character had their race switched?
Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking.
Gotta love those Wizard of Oz quotes
