I'm really interested in Jupiter's Children. I love Quitley's work.
I haven't read any of his Millarworld books, but I'm interested in Superior and Jupiter's Children definitely has my attention due to Quitely.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
I agree, Quitely is an impressive artist.
The original Wanted comic is not unfilmable, just extremely bold. Same would have been said about Kick-Ass when it comes to filming a little girl cutting limbs or getting punched in the face by adults.
The thing I really like about Mark Millar is the sheer energy I feel whenver he talks about his stuff.
I went to work yesterday and I sat down at my PC when a co-worker came by and started asking me Avengers related questions, because she just saw the movie a few days ago. She was like who the guy was in the mid-credits and if she missed anything after the credits and so on and so forth. I told her some stuff I knew and got into a conversation about the character and history, when a guy sitting next to my desk said "Well...I heard that the one guy who might be able to fight him is Silver Surfer"
The conversation evolved into movie rights and crossovers, but when I was talking about this stuff, I felt my energy level go up. I feel a sense of love and passion when I talk about this stuff, because it matters to me.
I feel the same thing when Millar talks about comics. He really enjoys what he does for a living and that is pretty awesome. I'm so looking forward to Jupiter's Children because he's got one of the best artist on the planet in Quitely. I'm waiting for Nemesis to come out on softcover so I can read that...Mark! If you're reading this, I got an amazing idea for Wanted 2, as a movie prequel!
Olivier Coipel - The best damned artist on the planet!
