Ok, I may have tackled my assignament of two non-x characters off spring (ahem) with less than great enthusiasm, but I sort od like the concept. You see, Marrina and Deathlock can not have children more than, say, Shatterstar and Rictor could. She is a Plodex, and he is a Cyborg whose human part is dead.

But! Plodex are alien creatures who deposit their eggs on hostile environments, so the embryo adapts and grows to dominate that habitat. Marrina is a female, and can hatch eggs without limit, dozens of them at a time. So... there is this paralel universe, where Hammer seized the body of Marrina, and used Deathlock technology to create an army of the perfect soldiers. Cheap, deadly and able to adapt to any environment, they sent any enemy of the United States in any part of the world packing. However, when the Plodex arrived to Earth and easily overrun the Deathlock technology, the planet found itself fighting a losing war against an unstoppable army.

I also apologize for the amount of non-mutants in this Jam, I had to come up with 160 different mutants so that I could just have 80 entries! It was harder than I thought it would be. With that said, there will be a lot of Satellite Characters involved from Alpha Flight, Excalibur, Big Hero 6, Villain Teams, etc.

I think the Jams that involve the artists in the design process makes for a more fun event, which is why I went with this one over Gender Bender, X-Babies, or X-Animal.

I even started to think about the characters who would be fighting the Plodex invasion, with Magick making things even worse for everyone opening up Limbo to fight against the Plodlocks. Anyway! I have to finish a couple of things I have pending, and then I will pick another one. That way more people interested will have time to pick theirs.
