    Default Supergirl Enemies?

So who doe Supergirl usually fight in her comics? Does she fight Superman's rogues or does she have her own? Does she have an arch-enemy? Also, Im bought the DC Showcases of Supergirl Vol 1 & 2 today, so does she have any enemies from the silver age in the present?

Doesn't she suffer the same fate of all such characters? No real rogues gallery of her own. I think she had some farm animals she'd date from time to time but no Lex Luthor I can remember.

She fought some of Superman's villains, but generally her stories were more about teen problems or problems with the people around her. They did try with the Gang and a couple of other things, but most of her villains were wrapped up in one issue. There was Lesla-Lal of Kandor who sort of recurring for a while.

There hasnt been any real break out villians for her rogues gallery. Theyre trying to do better with the current volume with the world enders, blobman and the retooled Banshee. But theyre all pretty much still Supes villians.

At least she isnt dating Lex Luthor this time around ><

Oh, i was thinking of Linda Danvers the flame angel.

Did you try comicvine? You might have more luck there.

to be fair, it is hard to create villians for her as how do you define a supergirl villian?

Ask and ye shall receive. Helped me out a lot myself when collecting and reading classic Supergirl.

( Although Nasty Luthor looks a lil' bloated on that page, just to affirm her true form, while THAT was just flamboyantly weird fashion sense!

There's also Reactron, probably most notable today for New Krypton, whose first appearance was on Supergirl (volume two)

And, I guess Silver Banshee partially counts as a Supergirl nemesis as well, battles spreaded out all through various points of Supergirl volumes four, five, and now six, but who knows, maybe New DC's Silver Banshee's not that bad; we'll wait and see.

these are the ones I found on Comicvine that could be her rogues.

Note these are for Kara kent only, Linda Danvers and Power Grirl are two different characters.

Nasthalia luthor might be one the nose but could work if revamped.

    Reactron is a must.

    http://www.comicvine.com/lucy-lane/29-4117/
    Lucy Lane aka Superwoman.

    http://www.comicvine.com/thara-ak-var/29-58252/
    Thara could be a rogue.

    http://www.comicvine.com/silver-banshee/29-8340/
    Silver banshee.

    http://www.comicvine.com/insect-queen/29-31013/
    Insect Queen

Now she has Simon Tucho and the brain.

She does have a ton of enemies here that could be revamped even thought some of them are linda danvers's tho. Since Silver Banshee is a confirmed magic character some of the more demonic villians could make a comeback or be revamped as science villians.

Should Power Girl's rogues count as her rogues/

Reactron (Bronze age villain revamped pre-new 52)
The Gang (Bronze age villain group cameoed a few times pre-new 52, Grant Morrison used them in his JLA run)
Satan Girl (Silver age villain, brought back for Linda Danvers, was the villain of the last Supergirl annual, all three had different origins)
Lesla Lar (Silver age villain, Thara Ak-Var was a good guy version of her really)
Nasty Luthor (Bronze age villain, last seen in all star Superman. No modern in continuity version. Lena Luthor was a version of her in Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures)
Female Furies (A key character in the animated Supergirl's origins and pre-52 Supergirl's origin)
Blackstarr (Bronze Age villain, revamped as a villain in a pre-52 Action Comics issue)
Bizarro Supergirl (Silver Age 'villain', revamped numerous times. Most recently as bizarrogirl pre-52)

    Less importantly:
Enchantress (Bronze Age villain, Supergirl had a key role in her 'origin' and descent into evil)
Insect Queen (Silver Age villain given to Supergirl pre-52)
Silver Banshee (Silver Age villain given to Supergirl pre-52 not counting guest spots in Linda Danvers' series)

Then there are a lot of Legion villains she has faced and bigger general villains like the anti monitor.

You are forgetting Starfire (the first and most evil of the three independently individual characters who employed that name) whom was a pretty serious Bronze Age threat to Supergirl back in the early seventies.

Not much, but as an owner of that fantastic cover / issue above, I take great pride in starting up her Comicvine page!

She'd be a good one to revamp, with a new name. I want Supergirl to get more male villains though. I do love that her 'arch nemesis' is seemingly a man in Reactron. It makes a change. I also love that most of these villains come from the 70s. People think Supergirl doesn't have original villains because the 70s seems to be a black spot. People think Supergirl is a silver age character who faded away, was killed off spectacularly and then came back. A lot of Supergirl's character and story came from those solo issues

Would love to see a Nu52 Supergirl adventure take place on Apocalypse. Have we seen Granny Goodness anywhere yet?
