I'm new to the comics (for the most part), so I'm not entirely sure of the entire Avengers roster throughout the decades. Has Sif been an Avenger? The main reason I didn't list her in the first place was because I was unaware of her ever being one. I guess if she hasn't been they could find some way of putting her in a team in the comics in the next couple of years.

Because it may confuse people. I know people who were already confused enough by the scene between Sif and Freya at the end of Thor, assuming that Sif was clearly carrying a torch for Thor and he was being a dick for pining over the loss of Jane.

As it is, seeing aspects of Valkyrie in Sif and the MCU version being an amalgam of both characters is most likely.

No, people would be confused at the introduction of another woman into the mix who shares virtually all the same archetypal characteristics with MCU Sif, when she herself has had the barest amount of development and time to shine.

Just the same as if they brought in an MCU Balder who shared a lot of similarity with, say, Fandral.

I love the support for Ms. Marvel and Valkyrie but as a die-hard fan of both I think Janet, Crystal, or Scarlet Witch should be among these ranks. Just one for the sequel so they can touch up on their relationships.

If they introduce Wanda then we also have to deal with her creep of a brother..but that also opens up the possibility of bringing in the Vision.
