It is always interesting to hear what these guys have to say in their interviews.

I wish these guys' enthusiasm, attitude, work-ethic and quality would be more infectious. Flash is a number one title, a successful example of artists-as-writers, beautiful and experimental and not grimdark at all.

It's interesting to see their perspective on Wally West and it has merit but it's hard not to be continually bummed out about it.

But the book runs fine so not a whole lot of complaints, wouldn't mind to see Bart interact with Barry sooner though.

So... when they say that Wally is something that is "ultimately not going to happen", does that mean there's been a mandate? Did I miss something? Has Wally REALLY been retconned out of existence? And they KEPT BART??? WTF!!!!

Agreed. This book is so dynamic and the layouts are creative. Great storytelling from these two artists. Hands down the best all around book DC is putting out.

I have the feeling we won't see Bart interact with Barry until Lobdell fleshes out Bart's new origin. It doesn't seem like we'll be getting that in the next six issues.

Great interview! I'm enjoying the series so far - still at the top of my pull list. Also reading FOSTER by Buccellato - it's going to a direct edition (page 299 of the May Diamond Previews if you want to tell your LCS).

The guys still seem a bit inexperienced but their enthusiasm and potential are huge, I hope they can create a great story for the Rogues.

Pretty much the same I'd say? He had longer hair, a big mohawk, but he wasn't in full costume, just the pants.
    Oh wait, found a pic:

The Flash is one of my favorite in the New 52 (one of VERY few) - I love the story and the art. When they opened up the 'speed mind' I was wondering where they would take Flash from there as he became almost omnipotent but I can see how they HAVE shown the law of congestion in that its just made things harder as he now SUPER over-thinks things and freezes (like before he was shot). This is VERY well done. Keep up the great work guys and wonderful interview

While I can admit that the new Flash is a bit better in terms of art and storyline, I still miss Wally, as DC really did mess him up in the DCnU and gave him the short end of the stick.

Why? In my opinion Wally should be in Teen Titans. So the mistake was to allow Bart in before Wally. Barry deserves an uncluttered Flash ongoing.

My only other idea is that if The Flash does well enough you might pull off a Flash Squad or something like Green Lantern Corp, but Wally West and some other Speed Force related heroes police the Speed Force.

Are you kidding me?. That would be a complete regression of the character and would be even worse than not having Wally at all.

They were going to do a Flash: Speed Force title starring Wally before the relaunch but they had to drop it due the reboot, still, I'm sure DC will do another Flash title in the future since the main title sells a lot.
