Nice. I will certainly be giving all of these a try.

Not surprising to see that "Nite Owl" got the least effusive praise of the bunch. I'm least excited about that book.

Yeah, really. I'm looking forward to it being over so DC can concentrate on stuff I want to read. Not that I "hate" them, I just don't care.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I'm just not interested.

Huh--I didn't realize that Comedian would be so heavily involved with Vietnam. I like that--that whole period of American history's always interested me. Curious to see what they do with that. Hopefully it's semi-historically accurate--some of the crap that went on in the Vietnam War was so crazy and twisted, you really don't need to make anything up.

I'm going to buy them just so I can pee on them.

These could be the greatest comics ever written but it's quite obvious nobody is going to give them a chance because fandom has hyped Watchmen up to something biblical and it's the worst offense in the comic world to do anything that might potentially alter the way someone may (hypothetically) think upon the sacred texts of Alan Moore.

It will have to be a private affair. I'm a little too old-fashioned to start peeing on the internet. You could do it though.

I'll be honest, I haven't had much of an interest in any of them other than Rorschach (because Azzarello/Bermejo) but that may change after seeing some interior art/previews from the book. Or I may just wait for collected editions of all but Rorschach, that will be undoubtedly available within the year.

The initial impressions aren't all that surprising.

The amount of talent involved in this project is tremendous. Too bad they didn't direct this kind of talent towards something not Watchmen related. The collected editions should do quite well though. Watchmen is one of the few comic properties that continues to reach beyond the tiny realm of comic fandom.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

I can't wait till this is over so they can move all of this talent on to some of their main books. When Superman is stagnating as bad as it is and Leifeld has three titles, you know something is wrong. And what's wrong is them wasting such top tier talent on this.
