Hamill said when he "retired" the Joker that he'd come back if they needed him for an expansion for DCUO or if they do an animated Killing Joke. So this really isn't an "I told you so" moment.

Hamill never said that he would permanently retire. All he's ever said is that he wants to go out on a high note. The whole "last time Hamill will do Joker" thing was just hype to sell Arkham City.
