Did anyone have a problem with Superman wearing trunks in All-Star Superman?

The trunks were a non-issue. Tell a good story and no one cares.

Nobody is going to single out a specific story for having trunks that are in all the other stories.

Right, but the trunks look a bit different stylistically in All SS - and wasn't there the matter of..um..the package being more visible than necessary or am I thinking of another artist?

    Except they aren't underwear.

They are called trunks. Just like what Pro Wrestlers wear.

Perception is everything. Don't tell me you've never heard the jokes on how Superman wears underwear over his pants.

Plus, even if they're trunks, they should be drawn that way. And very few artists do, like Darwyn Cooke.

ive always loved superman. always been my fave superhero. ive seen the pics of the new costume, and it looks cool and all, but its just not superman. take the "S" of the front and it looks more like something general zod would wear.

Same logic applies to the new movie suit. Make a good movie and who cares if the movie suit has trunks or not.

Not a fan of the MOS costume except for the boots and the cape attachment. No trunks is a deal-breaker, plus the patterns they replaced them with look silly. They remind me of the patterns on the Batman and Robin Batmobile or a tramp stamp. The blue is also too muted and the scales look more like Aquaman. In fact I saw a manip with the costume rendered in orange and green and it made a perfect Aquaman outfit.

I don't care for the scaly material, and I agree with others that say he needs a red belt. Otherwise, I have no problem with the costume being updated like this.

As I said before, I think without the trunks, said bulge is more visible.
Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider, Kid Loki- Bring Them Back!!!

Yeah, it is. It looks like ballet tights. Part of the reason for the tights is modesty.

The bulge was visible even with the trunks. The lack of trunks just initially draws attention to that area because it's the area that looks different. Like how the mustache area draws attention to a person when he shaves. You'll get over it.
