    So far, so good.

I hope they won't constantly cut when he's shooting: I'd love to see more than the last arrow hit the intended target.

Looks good, but is it asking too much for Oliver Queen to be blonde?

I heard Eric over at IGN saw full trailer and he said he was 90% sure he saw Deathstroke's mask

This doesn't look horrible. I was expecting the worst and got...something pretty good.

Looks better than, say, The Cape.

    Agreed.

Also, I'm still not sure why they couldn't just call it Green Arrow, but what can you do?

Ok, the clip does kind of calm my concerns with the creators. It may work out well. We shall see. I will give it a shot either way.

That's probably because, as TV Tropes does a good job of explaining, Comic Book adaptations tend to avoid using calling superheros by their codenames. Take the Avengers for example. Captain America is mostly referred to as "Steve" or just "Captain", Hawkeye is only referred to as "Hawkeye" once, and the Hulk is only directly addressed as "Hulk" once. In the first Iron Man, the name "Iron Man" only comes up in the last 5 minutes of the movie, only to be more or less dismissed by Tony Stark right away.

The show's probably just "Arrow" because the name "Green Arrow" will most likely be used very infrequently. I haven't seen Smallville, but the TV Tropes entry I linked to says that Green Arrow is in the series for more than a season before that name is used. He'll probably be called "Ollie" or "Queen" most of the time, with "Green Arrow" being the media's nickname for him, as is the case in Iron Man.

I'd rather have them call it Green Arrow to give the comics a little more name recognition, but Smallville got away with 10 seasons of not calling Clark Kent "Superman" at all, so this really isn't too big of a deal.

Batman: What are you doing here Deadman?
Deadman: We've only met when I was an invisible ghost talking through other people. How did you know it was me?
    Batman: I'm Batman.
    Deadman: Touché.

Good point, MentalPace. I'm currently writing a treatment for a comic character and not once have I written that the lead role use his or her comic book code name in dialogue. However during one of the sequences I expressly said that 'several media outlets, i.e. the news on television, report that (insert codename) has been saving lives around the world). I wanted it to be a media dubbing. It makes it more modern I'm assuming. More in touch with what a person would do if given the opportunity or placed in that situation (given/born with/trained to have abilities and started saving lives... or taking them). I personally wouldn't fight crime and say 'call me Green Arrow!' Seems like what's going on in the Wonder Woman comics. She's told people on a few occasions in the New 52 to 'not call her that' or 'just call me Diana'.

About the clip: Very cool and edgy! As far as adaptions go, I've seen worse. And as far as comic to TV adaptions go I don't really remember seeing anything far excedding this. Good job so far WB/DC! Now let's get these films in order...
