Blue Beetle #9 FAIL!

I know I'm the only person on earth who doesn't like her writing...

Anyway, is this Blue Beetle series generally any good? I was kind of thinking of getting the trade, but I've seen a lot of mixed reactions, this being the last one. The general complaint seems to be that the title is more violent than the pre-relaunch series, is that correct?

I'm not sure if I should bother giving my thoughts on the book: if you didn't like Secret Six or All New Atom we're clearly on very different pages.

I wouldn't say it's exceptional or brilliant, but yeah, I find it to be a good solid series that I keep wanting to read. There were a couple violent moments but even those seem to have gone lately, and I never thought they were that particularly violent compared to other stuff you can get.

This thread actually got me interested in the book. I really dug it! I'll probably start buying this monthly now. Also... I didn't know Marcio Takara was doing interiors! The man is a genius. Which is probably the reason why the fridge scene looks inappropriately cute, lol.
