Default How to support my local B&M shop (while reading electronically)?

Hello all! Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place -- I don't see a "General Comic Stuff" forum.

My question is this: Is it possible to purchase comics for my eBook reader and still support my local comic book store, without buying stuff twice?

Background: I'm not much of a comic book fan, but I attended Free Comic Book Day because my friend owns a comic store nearby. I bought (and liked!) some stuff, and now would like to buy more. But I'd much prefer electronic versions over physical books.

Is it possible to support the store by buying e-comics? (They don't have an Amazon affiliate link on their website.) Am I stuck collecting even more physical objects that I only want for a short time?

    Thanks!

Quite a few Marvel books are now including digital codes. Also, DC offers a bundle pack on some of their big sellers that includes a digital code for a buck more than the copies without the code. Um, beyond that...yeah...one of the local shops near me will be installing a machine where customers can purchase their digital comics and the shop ends up getting a cut. I really wish all publishers would just include digital codes with all their books. Print customers are already paying for the content, so just give them the digital codes to be nice.
