RIP Sunspot. You were lame, but you were MY lame.
I haven't read this book yet, but I always find it entertaining to see women swoon around Namor and to see Namor take full advantage of it. He's like the male version of Emma Frost. He makes no apologies for his love of nude female company. And why should he? He's a freakin' king.![]()

X-men Supreme
I think AvX would be greatly help by Apex Guy's commentary on how all the fights are mating rituals.
Namor rocks this, Gillen delivers yet another tie in that's better than the actual event books. Sunspot trying to get an invite to a threesome with Namor and Hepz by comparing their reputations was adorable.
Excellent issue. Betsy still resents Tabby, but that was like what, three bodies ago? Get over yourself luv.

Come to Deathstrike & .A²: Mutant League Champions 2013
This issue was great, I loved how the Avengers were depicted as the villains. Crashing their plane (Damage + pollution) and then killing Tabula Rasa people and calling them ugly b/c they look different. I wish Apex would murder them.
Yeah, I didn't have an issue with what Hepzibah said, just how she said it. I was like, "Well, she's in a tunnel, and hitting on Namor. Thanks to dialogue from "The Extremists", when she was in a sewer tunnel and hitting on Warpath, we knows Mephistoids get horny when they're in subterranean environments, instinctually. Plus, y'know, Namor's still Namor in a speedo."
So while there was a definite logic to that... she still didn't have that same awkward sentence construction that you get from moments like when she screamed at her own phone. Mixed bag, really.

- the best there is at what i do -
I really enjoyed this issue. The characterization was spot-on, we got to see Namor take down two Avengers, and there were some truly funny moments. I hope Hepzibah returns for the later issues, cause it was so refreshing to see her back in one of the main books.![]()
I'm laughing with a comic and again it happens to be written by Gillen. I've seen many readers saying UXM is a title too serious or other synonymous, but the thing is, most funny lines are written by him.
Enjoyed this issue. It was the best AvX book this week.
The only x-book I was reading for a while was x-factor but schism got me interested enough to check out the two main team books and I haven't been disappointed yet.
KG/Land still hitting it out of the park. THE flagship X-title tops anything AvX has to offer once again. Give these guys a raise.
I actually enjoy Land's art, if it looked more like it did here. No porn faces. Still, he makes She-Hulk look like a stick-thin model. She's SHE-HULK, for crying out loud! I wanted to see some muscle or something on that women. I feel like all Land's female characters tend to look like they have either the anorexic model or the porn star physique, and it's kinda bothering me. Still, it's my only (relatively minor) complaint for this issue.
