Default the Shadow number 2 is out!

The Shadow no2 is out today according to Dynamites twitter page. Who got it? I'm getting it this afternoon and I'm excited to see where this story goes because issue no1 was pretty fantastic and I'm getting into the pulp stuff.

Got it this morning from my LCS.

If you're getting into the pulp stuff, check out the original stories. Sanctum Books is reprinting the Shadow pulps in double volumes. Check out original stuff from publishers like Altus Press, Pulpville and others, and check out the new stuff from Pro Se, Airship 27, Wildcat, Black Coat Press, Black Dog Books, etc.

The originals were indeed good reads but I enjoyed the current issue as well, though I tend to think the art is slightly generic with one character occasionally being difficult to discern from another.

I felt issue #2 was a great book, a little slow due to the extreme amount of dialogue, but fun regardless. I liked the train ride they took and the way they got kind of snuck up on, but The Shadow took care of all that jazz and was able to blast some dudes in the face, which always makes for a great comic lol.

Not a bad issue at all, but not nearly as strong as the first.....but that's to be expected for the most part, hopefully the 3rd issue is action packed and full of pulpy goodness.

That's funny, I found issue 2 to be much better than the first. It had much more of pulp feel while also showing the mystical elements that the Shadow always has. Being attacked by Nazi agents on a flight to Hong Kong is just the perfect setting for a book like this.

Two amazing issues, I will be picking up this book monthly.

Great story in this 2nd issue with a nice finish. Art was just okay for me.
