Default Which Story-Arc would make for the best animated-feature?

So, I’ve always enjoyed the animated direct-to-DVD features that DC produces and wish that Marvel would do something similar with The X-Men. Were Marvel to produce a high quality animated feature with the X-Men, which story-arc do you think would best suit the project?

Potential stories could include the epic Dark Phoenix Saga, or perhaps something more concise, such as Days of Future Past or God Loves Man Kills. The Age of Apocalypse might prove a bit too unwieldy for a single feature, but it could work. And I’d love to see the Phalanx animated in The Phalanx Covenant; or maybe something more current, like Morrison’s E is for Extinction. I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of good candidates…

I apologize in advance if a similar thread/poll has been posted in the past or if the subject has been previously discussed ad-nausea.

I think they should still clear of the Dark Phoenix Saga for a few decades at this point.

Days of Futures Past or E for Extinction would be interesting to see. I was also bum that Wolverine and the X-Men was cancelled before they got to remaging Age of Apocalypse, so I would totally be up for that too.

I voted for Age of Apocalypse, just because I think that has the potential to be an absolutely EPIC animated feature (and we'll never get it in live action).

E is for Extinction is my runner-up.

I went with God Loves, Man Kills. I think it works best with the themes of discrimination and is simple enough to get 90 solid minutes out of.

Animated features are just never long enough. It would have to be a mini series of animated features. My vote would be Executioner's Song~ It has a good mix of characters, which is what I like to see when watching one of these!

I want to say Age of Apocalypse, but I doubt they'd fully capture everything about it, so I'll go with God Loves, Man Kills.
