That last page just takes my breath away. Beautifully done. I like the climactic feel the book has going for itself as the Owl event concludes, which is a mass improvement over the pacing issues I felt the series had when it launched. Ironically, I now think Nightwing has the better play of tension and risk in regards to this storyline than Batman at the moment.

Barrows is doing some of the best work ive seen from him, but all these fill ins is really getting old.

I know, right? I thought he started out okay, but the work he put in starting with 5 has really been spectacular... now if he only could get some consecutive issues in the can. I thought he took a break on 6 and 7 so he could get the full Night of the Owls issues done. I think the most frustrating part is we don't know it's coming. For example, day 1 of Swamp Thing, we heard from Scott Snyder and Yanick Paquette that there was to be fill in, Paquette was just going to need it, and it was part of the agreement to bring him on the book. This though, just pops up out of no where, with the exception of issue #4.

And knowing Guilanldo's work from Gotham City Sirens, not bashing him or anything, it's just not going to match up well. The only artist working at DC who I think would do serviceable fill in with Barrows where it meshes well is Ivan Reis, and that sure as hell aint happening.

Non of the fill ins have gelled well with Barrows on this title, quite frankly the fill ins have been pretty bad even. Its such a shame too because Barrows is killing it, but the fill ins just suck so much out of these issues for me.

This looks pretty awesome. This title has been getting better and better. Can't wait for the next arc.
