Default What Do They Have Against Lois?

So DCNU Clark isn't with Lois, which is stupid, but whatever. I WAS excited for Earth One #2 but then I saw this is the solicitation.

From a ruthless dictator to a new love interest who’s NOT Lois Lane
What do they have against Lois? Why is it that the only place I can read new adventures of Lois and Clark is Smallville Season 11? What is wrong with Lois?

Just because they're teasing other love interests doesn't mean they have something against Lois. If anything, I think it keeps things less stale that way. They can do a lot to make Lois interesting without pairing her with Clark.

Nothing's wrong with her. Looks like DC just wants to utilize her and the Clark and Lois dynamic in a different way after over two decades of them being together.

Pretty sure it has something to do with copyright litigation...

In Earth One Clark is a kid come to town and the story is his journey. The first volume never even set up any lovely dovey stuff between them, so your complaints are baffling and in fact why must there be? The guy is a kid and why is he supposed to be tied to her apron strings? Can he not date other people? Lois is alive and well in several Superman books and still a reporter. Your griping is baseless. You simply want the same old predictable route that has cluttered media for the last 20 years. Nothing about that romance is very new or exciting. It's played out so much, it's stale. Some readers might actually want something fresh. But I see you equated that to DC hating Lois. sigh.

What is the point of doing that over and over again? And the book is called Earth One Superman. Not Earth One Superman romances Lois Lane.

The fact that it's an alternate reality. We now have 5+ realities in the reboot and only one of them has Lois and Clark together?

Another thing is that to me they are saying "LOIS AND CLARK AREN'T TOGETHER SO YOU SHOULD BUY THIS BECAUSE OF IT!"

Isn't she a character of her own? Can't she have her own problems and character growth without having to share with Superman? Maybe DC is trying to give her a notch in the universe that isn't dependent on Superman.

You should reword this to "DC is trying to explore new outlets for Lois with out her being tied down to another character"......you know what I think I'll get back to you on that tittle...mines a lil wordy...

I am, but let's say DC says "**** you Miller, we want Clark and Lois to split". Then there are no universes with them together.

    She already has that though.

Maybe you should enjoy the comic and not get hung up on hypotheticals that probably won't even come to pass.

I never thought DC would be stupid enough to split them in the first place.

Considering a lot of people either don't like or didn't care about the marriage, I don't think it's stupid.

Also, if you want to criticize DC, maybe you shouldn't use straw man arguments. I don't think you really believe they hate Lois, I think you're just upset they removed something you enjoy. Why not just admit that? There's nothing wrong with being disappointed that something you like is gone, but if that's how you feel, just say it--don't make up a false position simply to convince others to feel the same way. One doesn't need the validation of others to justify what they like.
Only you can set you free.
