Only two issues in between arcs was a mistake. I understand the appeal of having both Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on a book, but they should have given Jim a whole arc off, and have him come back for 0 and the next arc. I mean, there's a reason why JH Williams has six issues off on his book, instead of two, and he started that book way in advance.

That certainly makes more sense. I think that they wanted to replicate the success of Hush and For Tomorrow and get Jim to do a full year straight (or very close to it). They probably figured if he could do it then, he could do it now. I guess with his increased duties at DC (or for whatever reason) it's just not possible.

I definitely remember Johns saying something to the effect of "Jim will do an arc, take a break for a few issues, do another arc, and so on." So that is essentially what rotating art teams are. The thing here is though, this is the second issue of the arc and he's already falling behind. When it's that bad, I don't even think rotating art teams is a possibility.

Ding, we have a winner - FHIZ is 100% correct. That was my point about 'rotating art teams' and Jim not just taking 2 months off - it's simply not long enough for someone like him!

I'm really disappointed with editorial that they couldn't foresee this when every fan and their dog was predicting the title would suffer from lateness problems prior to #1. If Gene Ha's got time to do the occasional issue of Action, then get him to do a 4 parter and someone else to do another two (#11 & 12) so that Jim gets some more decent lead time.

I just re-read this issue and man......this Graves character is pretty intense! I loved the story here, the sick and dying character killing his doctor and enlisting in the services of other villains to help him out, and I'm sure everyone got a good chuckle out of Flash and Green Lantern trying to interrogate Weapons Master and having to get Wonder Woman involved. Classic moment. All in all I loved this issue and feel that Justice League is one of the best, if not the absolute best, team book on the market today and the only other book that competes with it in my eyes is Legion of Super-Heroes. But yeah, Justice League is just pure awesome!

I'm not sure how much he actually "enlisted" other villains to help himout.

Or is "enlisted" a nice way of referring to the fact he supposedly ". . . attacked, tortured and interrogated" people like Weapons Master, The Key, Scarecrow, Scavenger, Captain Cold, and Cheetah?

... no. It was sick. Barry and Hal would never do that.

    It was Geoff Johns.
