I have just only recently start to read humor comics and mostly classic, older ones. I didnt know the creator name before this thread. Im not a big two fanboy, either there just too many good creators to try all of them fast.

I will get one of his comics outside big two because i like his principle it impresses enough to see how good he is as a cartoonist. American comics medium is much more than big two.
    Pull List:
    The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
    American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing
    Daredevil, Winter Soldier,Indestructible Hulk

    You're in a thread discussing a British creator's reaction.

Generally it's not been good from older fans, while younger ones just want to read their comics and fuck Alan Moore! Right up his arse!

I know that. I was hoping to get of a more general outlook, should have expanded more when I asked that question. Though looking at your answer, it could be safe to say that's how the issue is reflected. That's not to say young people aren't looking at this at just a superficial way.

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm not down with Before Watchmen at all, but I can't help but love this oddball little product associated with it. I'm sure if it didn't hit so close to home, even Alan would have a laugh over it.

If that doesn't scream out, ”Fuck you,” to Moore and Gibbons, I don't what does

Yeah, it basically nails Watchmen as just another property to be marketed and consumed rather than a work of art. But it's also such a goofy idea that you can't help but laugh.

The only way I would even think about buying that is if every piece of toast you make comes out with a different rorschach pattern burned into it.

    Ideal commercial for that toaster....

There is always gonna be people who want to break into the big two and they won't care about creators rights at that time, but there does seem to be a an unspoken thing with everyone that if you have a great new character you take him somewhere else.

No he wouldn't. He'd tell you to fuck off for suggesting it.

Moore's now made it quite clear he's not putting up with fans buying this crap and if they buy this then they stop buying his current work.

    Yeah, it's an up yours.
You'd think it would have been more cost-effective to just pay somebody to knock on Alan Moore's door in Northampton, and flip him the bird while pissing all over a copy of Watchmen.
