Doesn't matter, keep fighting.
My brand of Current BS is using established merterial that makes senies in continiuty and would referance works of leagendary writers and artsts that if marketed have new readers picking up trades to said works and thus making more money.
This is let just slap an X on it and get suckers and clam it to get the mythical "New Readers"
The ones in charge of the X-office has made the X-line a joke
and people like you let them keep thier jobs
Cyclops ad portas
I didn't mean YOU, Genius. I meant Marvels current brand of bullshit.
Also, you can't blame them. They are a BUSINESS, in an industry that is rapidly declining. Growth, expansion, new readers, and pulling in fans of their films is what will keep food on their table, and a jet in the garage. If you can't see that a business model is bigger than the couple of people who post on this low-rent forum, then honey, I got news for ya.....
Now let's keep it cute.
What happens when the "new reader" wants to read more? It only adds up to the confusion.
I guess I have a hard time seeing any of this as belittling the X-Men mythos or Xavier’s legacy.
Xavier has been a callous, manipulative ol’ sod since the initial creation of the book. Sitting there lusting after the barely pubescent Jean, conning Changling into taking a bullet for him and then letting his students think him dead for moths, recruiting a whole team of new mutants whom he sent to their deaths only to have their memories erased from history, selling Jean and the team out for a piece of Shi’ar tail, strangling to death his unborn twin sister, trapping the Danger room sentience as a slave, being a founding member of the Illuminati shadow-cabinet… Face facts - the guy’s kind of a dick. Nothing in this ‘First X-Men’ is going to besmirch saint Xavier’s legacy any more than what’s already been done.
I wonder if this is going to be wolverine as the prof and xavier as cyclops
If they're going to fuck with continuity anyway, why don't they go balls out and give us something fun. I want to see pre-Interpol Banshee with some fearsome muttonchops or something not more Sabretooth.

Bwahlmaololrofl! Who is running creative over there? First X-treme X-men and now this. Who thought it was a good idea to greenlight this? Golly. I had to reread and edit what I wrote here four times to avoid getting banned. Just not good.
Pot+Kettle - "This post went so full retard that it had to be quoted."
This one of those "Cause No One Demanded It" books.
Sorry Brevoort, Alonso and Lowe, but Jean Grey is a classic character. She'll outlive you regardless. :)

It's sad to see Marvel having their own clique... Like it was mentioned earlier, they always tend to use the same old artists, and rarely let any newcomers into their little club. Neal is a great guy, and I've had the pleasure of working with him twice, but c'Mon Marvel, give the little guy a break. There are other talented artists out there, also trying to make a name for themselves.
