As someone posted the other day, this is Marvel's retcon to make Wolverine the first X-Man. I'm sure I've already read this story once or twice... in fan fiction.

Lol they really are retconning Wolverine to be the mastermind behind the X-Men ? trololol I doubt even Claremont would have gone that far.

Wolverine allies with Sabertooth and approach a young Professor X, who is engaged to be married and "wants no part of it." The writer also characterized the book as "The Magnificent Seven," but with X-Men. There will also be some of Magneto killing Nazis.

Professor X never wanted to deal with the dirty X-Men anyway. I guess falling in love with young Jean made him come around.
