    True. Thanks, Dan Jurgens.

I was worried that with the tease of the new JL team Trevor is forming, there would be too many Justice Leagues, especially if two are government sponsored. I'm really glad that DC decided to revamp a bland book even if it's sales weren't dismal.

Im sorry im just really pissed about JLI ending...i really hope DC have a new JL book there working on ..i actually liked having more then just one Justice League team with a ongoing series and i am (or was) enjoying all 3 JL books (JL,JLI and JL Dark). Sure JLI needed some tweaking but i still dont feel this book deserved cancelation.

IMO, it would have been fine if they did the concept right. JLI would be the UN Team. JL is the Private Team. JLD is the Private Team that deals with Magic. Trevor's team as the US Government's Special Team. Problem is they blew up the JLI concept by having the UN Oppose it. Honestly, that was the easiest part to get right and yet they screwed it up. All downhill from there.

As for total number of teams. 4-5 would be fine. Standard, Magic, Special Forces, International, and a School. Still in some ways its nice to know that sales is not the only motivating factor at DC and there is some quality control.

While I myself have touted guys like Trautmann, Costa, and Ellis as a good fit for one 'tone' of a good JLI book, you're wrong to dismiss Giffen.

Giffen has VERY much in common with Ellis, Hickman, Trautmann, Costa, etc. His work on Legion, and LEGION, and Doom Patrol, etc had a lot of intricate politics.

Eh for all the so called blandness I really liked the book. I have only read the first issue and issues #8 and #9 because of my boy omac.

I liked the book had a retro avengers feel though I hate the fact that they blew up the hall of justice. While I usually disklike the hall of justice and avengers mansion in favor of watchtower and avengers tower. But when the concepts is done right its good. This could have been a very retro written book with stories like the 80s avengers and League books.

And I liked the final lineup and the team had a different feel than the big seven.

From the concept to the writing (the art wasn't that bad), this book was a waste.

Frankly, if they wanted an Ice, Fire, Booster, Guy, etc. team, just give them the Infinity Inc. or All-Star Squadron title. Or some other lesser known name. I wanted Justice League international to feel like an actual global team dealing with global issues. Private firms, Checkmate, DEO, terrorism, crisis' that can't be punched out. Not a riff off of Giffen's League or Lost Generation. The stuff teams like Thunder Agents were handling, but on a larger scale.

    Less Giffen, more Ellis.

Less Winnick or Jurgens, more Trautmann or even Spencer on his A game.

IMO, his position is the past purpose of the team does not match up with the name. I some what agree when I hear international I expect to see a diverse group dealing with international problems and interacting with governments and agencies. Not a team that is almost all white americans with an alien.

Honestly haven't read Justice League Inter national but that was part of the joke and that it was just a lot of white people who were born in other countries. I mean technically fire is Brazilian even though she's white right.

Not that uncommon. Does suck that Batwing now isn't on a team.

Also kind of funny how omac has only been in 8 issues of each of his starring roles.

Yeah but Brazil is not that different from the US in terms of demographics so her being Brazilian tells you little racially.

IMO, yeah no Batwing would suck.

Interesting to see what they replace this with though.

Yeah that is interesting. Bad Luck. Still I think he is okay, he seems liked by the powers that the be.

Yeah, in retrospect, I should have brought up the Justice League era he was a part of, instead of the writer himself. That's what I originally meant.

    Pretty much.

I was looking forward to it, but only lasted one issue after being blown away by how utterly bland the book was.

I am heartily sick and tired of having standard superhero books and originally light or whimsical concepts turning into dark books in nuDC. Dial H is inappropriately dark. Wonder Woman is inappropriately dark. Most incredibly of all, Captain Marvel is inappropriately dark.

Reversing this direction in a number of particulars is probably going to determine whether I continue to read DC at all.

OMAC was a light hearted comic book. It got canceled despite being very good. Despite what some people say, there really is not a demand for light hearted comic books.

I'm sorry if this has been fleshed out already - but can anyone comprehend why this book was cancelled. Sure, it wasn't exactly getting good reviews but its sales were well above many of DC's other 52 books - it some cases double. Is it going to be relaunched into another series? Maybe no one knows outside of DC's inner sanctum, but it just seems strange to me particularly as it seemed to be getting a new lease of life with the inclusion of new characters such as Batwing and appearances from OMAC...

Hopefully all will be revealed soon...
