Excited for Swamp Thing / Animal Man crossover. I thought "Deadworld" was a much better name than "Rotworld" but whatever.

That is a lame solicit for Animal Man. Way to get current readers excited by telling them that the issue will be "events from the last year of both series [being] recapped for new readers."

Also, I dislike the covers for both JLD and Demon Knights. Philip Tan's two Demon Knights covers have been hideous, coming off a run of gorgeous Mike Choi work. And the JLD cover is just generic. Sook's work is nice but I feel like JLD has had so many generic covers that just show some combination of Deadman, Zatanna, and Constantine fighting something. For a magical book it should have way more creative covers.

Still a good mix of books I want to buy here (Swamp Thing, Animal Man, JLD, Demon Knights, Dial H), but that's a pretty weak group of solicits.

uh, Swampy has a crossover with Animal Man, and apparently it is one where you have to read both titles to fully understand the story. eh...

also, "Deadworld" has now been retitled as "Rotworld"?

at any case, i'm on board for

    SWAMP THING #12
    DEMON KNIGHTS #12
RESURRECTION MAN #12 (thank God it doesn't say FINAL ISSUE anywhere on there)

Pretty excited to see Blackbriar Thorn in JL:Dark. I always thought he had the potential to be a heavy hitting bad guy.

I'm delighted to see that all the Dark titles are still plugging along. I thought at least a couple of them would've been cancelled at #12.

Great covers all around. my top 3 for august..

    1. The double Animal/Swap Thing cover is just fantastic and their art really mashes well.

    2. Francavilla is doing a Resurrection Man cover.. Awesome!

    3. Demon Knights. Tan's covers really look like something out of a Metal album.

Snyder has mentioned many times that only the first issues and last issues of the crossover will have to both be read. The middle issues stand on their own.
As for changing it to "Rotworld", they found out late in the game that someone else had trademarked "Deadworld".

All the covers are awesome. I'm curious to see the new look of Blackbriar Thorn and how powerfull he is as he is the "master" of Felix Faust and the Demons three.
