    Not really. Lee and Ditko collaborated on the plots for Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-Man #1-17. Starting from issue #18, Lee had no idea what the plots would be until Ditko handed in his artwork for the issue. Basically they stopped communicating to each other at this point. Sol Brodsky was the middle man between them.

    I'd argue that in terms of the writing the later issues are slightly stronger.

    The first ten issues are notable mainly for all the cool villains. Although it's hardly given that the first ten issues would introduce so many lasting bad guys, so Lee and Ditko deserve a lot of credit for that.
