Right now Batgirl by Gail Simone is suffering a far worse fate than death.

I didn't realize GREAT sales, a large readership, and headlining one's own book was considered a bad fate, LOL. Cripes I wish I could have such a "fate" if I were fictional ("What IS the matrix", 2x lol).

It has lost a tremendous number of readers since the launch. I think its pretty high on the list of reader shedding that was released recently. I haven't been compelled by an issue yet, aside from the Nightwing appearance, and I felt Gail wrote Dick better than she's been writing Babs. I'm sure part of it is that with the exception of Nightwing, the NotO crossovers have been pretty abysmal and unnecessary so far. I'll still pick it up, as I think there were early talks about Dick being a more prominent cast member, and I'd love to see if Gail does anything with James Jr.

With respect, I've read the posts and threads where you've stated this before, and also even a few of the mods responses in shooting down the false narrative of it. Nightwing, Batwoman, and Batgirl all have been selling within the same margins for the most part, and when factoring in the additional sales from the "*" returnables, Nightwing & Batgirl are even doing roughly 10% better than what is being posted sales wise. The book is doing FINE.

See what happens when you think? I made 2 specific threads about Batgirl vs Batwoman and it merged with this one. So yep obviously another mod thought it would be ok to slam Batgirl in this thread. We wouldnt dis it if it was good... BTW only joking about the "See what happens when you think?"

I quit, you might want to recheck that.

I have said Gail is simply not writing a good Barbara Batgirl Gordon. She wrote a fantastic Oracle, maybe my expectations were up to high, maybe not. Since its announcement I said Gail wouldnt have a problem with this book. I would have a problem because Id miss Oracle. Barbara deserves a better book.

No. Each side of idiots should restrict their hatred to one designated thread at a time, with cool off periods of 3 days after each locking. The situation got out of hand months ago, now its about 4 posters, who know who they are, acting like dicks. By all means quietly express like or dislike of the book. But if I see another derailed thread as a result of you flamers, I'll report the lot of you and pray CBR mods are as tired of this shit as I am.

I'll be getting Batman, INC, TDK, RHatO (looks more awesome than usual. So goes from being the best DC floppy to being the best in the US industry), B&R and BoP. Man, I need to cull a few.
