I loved the conclusion of the arc with Samson's reveal
loved the arc in general because of the supernatural aspect of it

I also love how this thread has become kind of like a red hulk appreciation thread which once started as a red hulk bash thread
wonder how long that will last

Just read the end of the arc, and it was a nice arc. Legion of Monsters just seems like too cool a concept not to have an ongoing.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Dark Samson returns again.

True. There is a Blue Hulk in Mini-Hulks. My son really loved the Mini-Hulk stories. There is also a collection of them in, "Hulk-sized Mini-Hulks," one-shot

What's the logic behind Ross's magical disappearing mustache when he becomes Rulk? does it go in the lips, do the hairs fall off or what?

It's almost as bad as when Banner had a beard on the movie Trial of the Incredible Hulk then when he hulks out, the beard just vanished like magic but reappears when he becomes Banner.

But some hulks do have mustaches and beards like Maestro, The Leader (he is gemma infected too) and new Hulk for example.

That's cool. Parker really has built a nice little world around Ross, so much so that I'd like his antagonists to start crossing over into other books. What's also great is none of them are gamma-derivative characters.

I'm having problems thinking of a suitable name for him though. I'd go with Thunderbolt except it belongs to the team.

I actually like Rulk. Or in Jeff Parker's book that had both Banner and Ross, he would refer to themselves as Green and Red. I think that calling Ross' Hulk = Red would be cool.

I have to disagree.

Red Hulk, works because until the OG, he isn't based around just rage or wanting to be left along because he is misunderstood. He is a former military man, that went off the deep end and now has to live with consequences while doing missions in a form that is not unlike the one spent years hunting. Because of all that, it makes more sense to see a Red Hulk fall in with the Avengers or go on crazy missions because with Red, similar to She-Hulk there isn't any different personality excuse, Ross owns the persona and what he does in it.

Red Hulk takes the low road, along lines of Winter Soldier, Agent Venom and various other anti hero spin offs, so that Marvel doesn't have to dirty up the original when they have someone that wants to tell a grittier story. To me, that alone makes him worthwhile to keep around, but it really is Parker's writing that helped seal the deal with the character being their own.


I do believe that A-Bomb should be written out of Hulk lore, but that is the only member of Hulk's recent family I think is a unnecessary joke.

I totally agree with everything except I don't hate A-Bomb. I think that he has a place, maybe in his own book or a part of a team? Thad Ross, Rick Jones, and Betty Ross were all a part of the original Hulk series from the first issue 50 years ago. I think that Marvel is just giving them a new start.
