    Thanks for this. Nice covers from everyone. For as much as I dislike Jurgens' writing, the guy draws a really gorgeous Superman.

    looks like this will be the month i drop Superman from my pull list. Wasn't there supposed to be a three part story with Superboy, and Supergirl?

    Hasn't it be a while DeFalco replaced him? Or did I miss something and Lobdell came back?

    Anyway, the Action cover intrigues me. On one hand, the guy seems to have psychic powers, which would suggest this "First Superman" (assuming it's him) is indeed a Bill Dunn counterpart, on the other, the general look makes it seems he won't be more than a counterpart, instead of the "real deal". Makes sense, I guess they don't have Dunn's rights anyway. I hope the guy is gonna be epic, and be a recurring foe for Superman;
    The Superman cover is nice, good impression on cover. Sort of iffy about Jurgens alone assuming the writing part, but I hope the fact Griffen is writing the annual on his own means it's only temporary.

    .
    He's been doing the scripts, making the book unreadable.

    Okay. So it's nothing new, then? Unless that means Lobdell isn't doing the synopsis anymore?
    Nort that I really care, I'm not reading Superboy either way.

    Just AC and superman annual for me.

    I'm hoping Perry doesn't become a J. Jonah type guy.

    Ooof, I've been thoroughly driven off "Superman" and "Superboy" I guess.

    Action Comics, Superman Annual, and Supergirl for me!

    Damn is thats a beautiful cover on Superman. Is it me or have artists got much better at drawing the new suit?

    Also I guess the mind control villain on the Action cover confirms the first Superman is the one from the original radio show, or someone like him.

    The radio Superman wasn't telepathic. You're probably thinking of Reign of the Superman, which was a story written by Siegel and Shuster in the early 30s, before the cape-wearing, super-strong heroic character we know and love today was created.

    That's the one I'm thinking of yeah. So was the story just a book then?
