Does Marvel limit the number of Omnibuses they release?

I'm looking at Amazon and seeing the insane prices for any Omnibus that's not brand new. The cheapest price for The Ultimates Omnibus is 338.00 used. If these things are so popular why does Marvel seem to stop making them? I know I'm preordering Ultimat Spider-Man because I'm worried what I'll have to pay if I wait.

They are not that popular. It's just that, as soon as they stop printing them, the price goes up. And the omnibuses are generally expensive already. I recently purchased volume 8 of ultimate spider-man. It was not a particular popular volume when it was released, however, it was almost four times the price of volume 7 and 9-11 which I also bought. Reason being that it simply wasn't printed as much and thus became rarer.
