Well, Sailor Moon didn't create the genre. (Though it certainly took it in a new direction...)
I'll admit, I'm curious about Amethyst. Never read any of her comics, but they sound interesting...

Jack Kirby's would be about a girl who gains New Gods tech and becomes a superhero...
    I want that now O.o

Wasnt Cutie Honey sort of a precursor to the Magical Girl Warrior genre that Sailor Moon created? (Honey was more of a straight up super heroe show than a magical girl show).

It's a shounen with a female protagonist, but it's considered the 'Prototype' of the magical girl genre and a magical girl series in its own right.

Honestly Superman has more than a few similarities to magical girl characters as it is.

I suppose if you gave him a tiara and a miniskirt then made it so that he had to activate his powers by holding up a small golden staff and shouting "Sun Sparkle Ignite" then spinning around in sexy poses, that would even be true.

the artwork/character designs looked exceptional but that's just me.
Rogue and Bishop's daughter would be called Discharge, and she'd touch people and drain all or some of their bioelectrical energy out of them causing them to either die or fall unconscious. She could then use this energy to extend her own life, heal herself, enhance her physical abilities (speed, strength, stamina,) or discharge it as various energy beams.

Actually, it's still going, just to correct my previous post. It's pretty good, although a bit of your typical shonen manga.

Mild mannered Clark Kent one day finds a talking white dog who led him to a space ship. Contained in it was an S-shaped locket that, when lifted up to the sun with a chant of "Up, Up and Away!" turns him into the beautiful mini-skirted warrior of justice, Supergirl!
Fox Mr. Sinister (holding Rogue's chin): "So beautiful, yet so strong."

Fox Wolverine: "Well, I always did think I was kinda cute. Nice of you to mention it."

Y'know, that sounds a lot like He-Man, now that I think about it. Just make him turn into She-Ra, raise Cringer's voice a few octaves (or replace him with Zoar with the Sorceress' voice) and voila! Horrifying '80's magical girl show! Complete with off-topic moral at the end of the episode!
