    Not so odd; the line was "you're practically part of the family," she had already been shown interacting with Hephaestus (who knows the weak links in her armor, since he created it), and Hippolyta at various points was called the daughter of Ares in the comic, which would mean she was a distant relation.

    Not as prominent as being just another in the line of Zeus' infidelities, but not everyone reaches for the cliche right out of the idea bin, you know?

    They really did skirt her origin in the series didn't they?

    The JL and JLU series both had a luxury in my opinion as they could grab pre-tested concepts and story ideas and characters.
