I wish Cass is batgirl in the DCnU, Barbara is Oracle (crippled or not), and Steph is Spoiler.

I think that would work a lot better then erasing Cass's and Steph's time as batgirl (which would change Cass's character much more then it would Steph) and erasing Oracle...so to speak. For all we know Cass and Steph have actually been erased like wally, then just being changed by the DCnU.

It's not worth it to cause all that destruction/changing/erasing of continuity just for DCnU batgirl. Is it really worth it to you? What do you think?

Even if DC is not going to make Cass batgirl in the future at least they shouldn't erase Cass's and Steph's batgirl history. Perhaps they should have made it, so that in the new DCnU continuity Barbara could have done her time as Oracle like in the old DCU, and then become batgirl (this would also preserve Cass's and Steph's time as batgirl).

I don't like the idea that Babs seems to have been the only batgirl in the DCnU. Im sure the people who see babs as the "ONE AND ONLY TRUE BATGIRL" don't mind it, but it really is a disservice to cass and stephs hard work into being batgirl.

yeah i think putting barbara back as batgirl was a big mistake

new 52 was the perfect opportunity to push a new batgirl

yes Barb should be Oracle, the "cure" is crap, the retcons are unnecessary, the title is awful, its a worthless moneygraber move and a lot of things should happen

Steph and Cass not being Batgirl(s) doesn't bother me. Steph and Cass being benched, that's the problem.

Likewise, I've got no problem with Babs back as Batgirl. I just genuinely wish she was in a better book right now.

I always found Cass to be the least interesting Batgirl to be honest. Had a really cool look, but beyond that she just never grabbed me. Way too stoic.

I'm against them being benched and felt there were many ways to introduce them to the audience without being cumbersome.

I do feel that the excuse of them being benched in order not to overshadow babs is still an excuse as Batwoman and huntress both are just as likely to overshadow her.

I don't care if either Cass or Steph are Batgirls. I want them to be unbenched and have their histories mostly intact.

I'm not interested in the characters because of their monikers. Babs may be Batgirl, but she is so dull to me now I don't care about her.

The best way for a win-win is to change Bab's book into a Team Batgirl book. Cass, Steph and Babs all agents in Team Batgirl.

I'd just like Cass to be used. Batgirl, Black Bat, whatever. What happens to Steph or Babs hardly interests me unless Grant wants to use them in Batman INC.

While not in comics Donna Troy is being seen in the animated SBFF shorts on tv, thus her copyright remains safe from expiration. Basically it just depends on whenever a copyright on a comic character is going to expire, if DC has a character they don't want to use they still have to mention them somewhere to maintain the copyright and not have others get free access due to copyright expiration. The only question of course is HOW long can a character go unused by a comic book publisher before said copyright expires?
