School House Rumbles 3: Act 1, Cadet

"Doesn't that kind of defeat the spirit of the hike?" Vivian asked. If the journey didn't matter she could have just taken a helicopter here. Or something more advanced...

Skye purses her lips. "Spirit of the hike?" She looks like she's mulling it over. "OhmyEden! Do you think I cheated? Maybe they're grading us on the hike?"

"Axel, Axel Rotor. Yeah it is a crappy name. Your name?" :He looks to her. She was pretty. But he was a breast man.:

"Hi, um, Axel. I'm Skye Cortez." She grins. "And no, it's not crappy, just a little unusual. Looks like your folks have a sense of humor."

Selma sighed as she reached the top of the stairs, stretching her arms above her head as she looked around at her classmates, several of whom had been complaining about the walk up the stairs. Shaking her head, she thought 'Bunch'a babies, whining 'bout a little hike. They'd never last a day on tha family farm.'

Strolling into the crowd, she looked at her new classmates, smiled, raised a hand in a wave, and said "Howdy! Name's Selma St. Johns! Pleasure ta meet all of ya!"

"Nice to meet you Miss Johns," Vivian said. "I was impressed by how well you handled the hike. I hope I didn't do too bad."

"Hi Viv! Good to see you. I'm Skye."

She asks the group, "Does anyone know anybody else who has gone here? My Top-Search for Arcadia came back with surprisingly few hits."

"Sorry, no," Vi answered. "I asked father, but Baad Industries doesn't appear to know anything more than everyone else about Arcadia."

Eisen smiled warmly. "Hello, Rosemary. I hope we'll get along."



"But I just got here," Eisen protested, clearly confused by this turn of event. "I was asked to come here. Required even." She held up her acceptance letter. "See?"

Marko inspected the letter.

"We are pleased to invite you.....mrmrmr....we will be awaiting you're arrival at....hrmrhrm" Marko looked up from the letter a bit dumbfounded, before sheepishly turning to Eisen, "I feel I must apologize Miss Schnieder, I was laboring under the delusion that you were an adolescent, and not in fact a peer both in power and age."

Two minutes in and already you've made a fool of yourself, nice going McCool.

She grins like an idiot. "Yeah, I just got it. The Hovmeister 3000, latest model and very cool."

Mack's eyebrow rose. "Looks... expensive. Y'sure you should be flaunting that out in the open like this?"

"King, huh? We should start a Pretentious Name Club or something."

"Nice ta meet ya too, and as for the hike, well, ya did just fine. Ya made it to the top, didn'tcha." Selma replied with a smile.

"...Um, no, and what is vegan?" Eisen replied.

They keep asking these strange questions! This is all so confusing.

"I don't believe we are introduced," she added. "I'm Eisen Marionette Coppelia Schneider. A pleasure to meet you!"

"Vegans, you know, like vegetarians only more strict. No meat, milk or eggs," Vi explained. "Tried it once when I was young, but I just like meat too much. And it's a pleasure to meet you Eisen. Please, call me Vi. I hope we can become fast friends."

Skye frowns. "Do you think someone might steal it? I mean, it's got the biometric scanner set to me only, so I'm sure it would be a pain for someone to try to reconfigure. A big pain." She says that last part with emphasis.

Eisen eyes went wide. She seemed dumbfounded. Her grip of the doll tightened.

What do I say?

"How should I know?"

Nobody told me they'd ask questions like this! How do I answer!?

"Just... tell them the truth, I guess."

"I..." Eisen mumbled. "I don't know. I've actually never eaten cheese."

"Wow, that is kind of weird Samantha shrugs. "No need to look like a wounded rabbit about it."

"Fair enough, I suppose." He says.



"Probably not, this doesn't seem like a normal school after all. More like an institution. Doesn't mean she has to be extremely formal. It's only the first day."

"Better to be too formal than not formal enough."

...Cheese? Okaaay.

"Um... I like Bleu Cheese, and Havarti. You?"

"Can't stand it unless it's mixed with something else."

"I doubt many of us will, either."

"Eh, probably more than you think will end up in the Paragons for a while."

"I don't usually like things that leave a bad first impression on me. Hikes have definitely left a bad first impression on me." She declared, picking up her travel bag which she had discarded in her near-tumble. "I'm Rosemary" The girl replied, but felt a need to give her full name to Eisen in some sense of trying to match herself to the seemingly superhuman one. "Rosemary Brielle Vargreaves."

"Samantha Van Clef." Samantha decided not to be upstaged.

Eisen smiled warmly. "Hello, Rosemary. I hope we'll get along."

"Thanks. I was worried I took too many breaks coming up here. I'm afraid my heart condition doesn't leave me with the stamina of most, but I do try. It was quite fun, I do like nature," she said.

A Vegan is someone who does not eat anything to do with animals. No meats, no milk, no eggs. Ask some more Eisen, I like the idea of helping you out.
