I'm sure they'd appreciate a more reasonable price point more.

Seriously though does anyone feel like the older ginger step child when a new baby is born.....

It's amazing the lengths Marvel have gone to for a pretty much proven next to non existent new reader coming in from the movie. Thanos, Black Fury, Coulson, Avengers Assemble. Hell I'm amazed they didn't kill Jarvis off and replace him with a AI system.

But you know what, maybe they should put as much effort into keeping the few remaining readers they already have. Because once AvX is over their top selling book will still be doing 50k or so, with none of the millions of people who have watched the film making a difference.

Seriously to hear Wacker speak about Marvels current long term loyal readers is that they don't need us and will get by just fine without us. Whereas the random rare person that may wander into a comic shop and may pick up one issue and one issue only of a comic book gets the whole Marvel Universe tailored for them.

Tell me they haven't got this completely backwards.
Well, they sort of did bring in the A.I Jarvis into the Main Marvel Universe via the armor that Rescue uses.

That Ribic Punisher is ace. Hopefully Marvel can get him on a prestige one-shot or something.

Every time I see Sabrewulf quoted in a Marvel thread, it reminds me why I put him on my ignore list in the first place. Talk about a negative nellie :-p

Good interview. I'm glad to see Alan returning to ClanDestine! Excited to see where AvX takes the good ol' MU!!

From the way you post one thinks you don't buy any of their comics at all, and the way you complain about it there would be no reason to pay attention to you as you complain about everything

    On the plus side ...

Coolness! I didn't realize the Alan Davis annuals were going to be connected and feature Clandestine! Looking forward to that.

Some really nice covers! Love the Ribic!

On the negative side ... more of the movies dictating the comic stories. <sigh>

    Can't wait for more ClanDestine!

It's been way too long since Marvel's coolest family came out to play.

I know. It's pretty stupid considering they won't get any new readers. They should stay true to the source material.

    Definitely.

Excepted SPIDERMAN and GHOST RIDER, the 2099 line was a mess and this making me curious if they'll re-use these characters for starting a 3099 thing ..

Good to see again THE CLAN DESTINE, and I hope this time this could drive us to an ongoing. I know there have been many attempts with some minis, seeing them on long terms plans would be really cool..I have no doubts in contrary about a DEATH HEAD title by Warren Ellis.

Wonder what Alex got in stores for the MAX catalogue..

Another overall nice article with Alonso. I don't get why Avengers Assemble #3 was panned by the CBR critics because I think it worked perfectly. Just a week after the Avengers movie hit theaters, Thanos shows up in the pages of Avengers Assemble. Since he has a history with the Ultimate Nullifier, I think it works perfectly. Also, I'm always glad to see more MAX titles. Punisher MAX was one of my favorite series and while I think it ended appropriately, I'm for any additions to the gritty world it established.
