I hoping that this is an 05 book set in current continuity but I feel like too much has to happen. Scott and Hank have to bury the hatchet which would involve Beast magically not being an asshole anymore. Jean has to come back. Iceman has to turn his back on his personal best period in terms of potential sexual partners, a whopping two, and Angel would hopefully have to be reWarrened (which is a verb, look it up). I guess they could do it with new Warren but it wouldn't be the same.

I remember that promo book that came out, with half the text blacked out. I wish I could find it.

There are three possibilities:

1. It's about the original Five. Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel, and Ice Man
2. Maybe they are taking inspiration from 1st class movie and reveal that Xavier was the founder of an X-Men and part of it with Magneto and other unknown mutants.
3. Reboot/alternate universe

I'm curious so I might pick it up.

People need to stop bleating about the "05." They weren't the FIRST X-Men. Charles had Amelia, Sage and Shortpack. The 05 lie has been torn to shreds numerous times.

And there is Moira too. Also, wasn't it retconned that Xavier met Cable before bringing the 05 together ? Marvel could go that route with this book, but it's doubtful : too much similar to Fox movie.

Has to be a reboot. Marvel's plan of trying to run the X-franchise into the ground is flailing. Despite Marvel's best efforts, UXM is THE top selling marvel book. Marvel will do anything to derail this trend.

I'm not sure anymore, from what I gathered Cable wanted to meet with Xavier upon his arrival in the present but ran into Moira instead. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Cable and Xavier met in the past, some thing to do with Cable handing him some future technology or some shit. But I can't remember where I got that from....
