There won't be a company wide reboot. Asmus' Gambit series starts in August and based on interviews, the series seems to be firmly planted in regular 616 continuity and will be incoperating Gambit's past with Rogue and the Thieve's Guild.

Cable ran into Moria who introduced him to Xavier. Cable gave him future tech that allowed him to create the original danger room, before it was upgraded by Shiar Tech. Cable then used his powers to erase xaviers memories of the incident. It happened in Cable Minus One.
And yes, Cable's merc unit "Six Pack" included Domino, Grizzly, Hammer, Bridge, and Kane.
I misspoke, or rather mistyped - it's Shortpack, not Sixpack. Shortpack was this little guy Xavier employed in his Mutant Underground. It was detailed in a story from the Mystique solo series. Cable's meeting with Xavier prior to the official forming of the X-Men took place in the Cable solo series (during the awesome Landron issues). Sage's employment as Xavier's plant in the Hellfire Club was explored in X-Treme and also in XSE. Amilia, meanwhile, was the nurse practitioner who cared for Xavier when he fist lost the use of his legs; she was also brought into his pre-X-Men mutant underground. This was explained in Uncanny X-Men #309.
Nothing good can from this. NOTHING.
Not for me. I wouldn't want to reboot to the most creatively stagnant and uninteresting version of X-Men in memory. Thank goodness Morrison fixed all that (although he did totally lose it at the very end and everything he's written since he's been completely insane and nearly unreadable).
