Im guessing the banshee does something to Kara with her language powers that teaches her english.
Asrar is just great. Great artist, exactly right for DC's more sci-fi/high adventure titles. I miss him on The Atom, but he's been killing it on Supergirl. Looking forward to following that particular career.

Best Wednesday of the month. Supergirl and Wonder Woman on the same day!
Asrar is back!
I liked this issue i am left really wanting to know how Kara will get out of her current situation.
Very fun issue. Black Banshee's got some power-levels, although it's clear somehow Kara will surprise him. Power of friendship and a pure heart and teamwork and all that great stuff. Also, total props on the Black and Silver Banshee designs, the uniformity, the modern take. They've got some serious style.
I like how they're pacing Supergirl's new beginning. The awkward landing, awkward meeting Kal, first government/corporate trying to get their hands on her, then alien threat amid finding out about her past, now introducing a weakness to magic, and then getting into some core Super-verse elements with Kandor and bringing her back into the fold with Superman. Yes indeed, I like the pacing here a lot.

Liked the issue a lot, but at the same time this was the first time I really felt how slow the pace was. Still both Banshee's managed to come off as interesting and threatening. Especially liked the effect Black Banshee had on Supergirl, I wonder if that was his powers specifically or her reaction to magic in general?
I enjoy this Supergirl alot and look forward to her finding her way,and its one of the few DC books I like. And her learning english,I like the learning stage she is going through.
This issue of Supergirl was pretty good, I loved it. Supergirl!
The pacing really is interesting. At first I thought they were taking too long to establish her, but I was going along for the ride because the character work and the art were fantastic. But now, as you said, its clear just how well they've set up their pieces, introducing many key elements without making us feel overloaded with exposition.
I'm still following the book and I'm glad that I am. Asrar's art is amazing. I thought the issue was good but does anyone else feel that they're moving the story as slow as molasses? I'll continue to read and will enjoy it but I wish they picked up the pace.
Also, I'm wondering where we're going with the story. Like what is the "end goal" for Supergirl? Maybe it's just me but I feel like Supergirl is just "here."
Ah consistently my favorite title on the stands. I am a bonafide fanboy when it comes to Siobhan. We saw her go a little Banshee crazy and the possibility of a future faceturn, but let's hope she and Kara stay BFF for as long as possible. If/when that does happen it would still be a great story.
Yeah, okay, the plot is slow because this book is a Superfreighter loaded with the finest action in the DCnU. Kara's way too busy riding the rollercoaster to worry about where it's going, and I'm perfectly happy throwing my arms up in the air and screaming along side her.
Light some more trees on fire, Kara!
