Default Is the Ultimate Spiderman worth getting into?

I bought the first volume almost a year ago and havent ever gotten around to really reading it.

I feel like if I read it I will need to buy the next few volumes.

The main reason why I bought it was because I played the video game years before.

What is your take on the comic book?

There is another whole "ULtimate" forum where you will find lots of threads discussing this....just FYI!

Are you talking about the original Peter Parker version? Because, if so, the answer is a huge YES. That is my 2nd favorite book of all time (behind Invincible). Mark Bagley's art is fantastic and Bendis writes a perfect teenage Peter Parker. Not everyone likes his take on Spidey in the 616 Avengers teams. Those jokes and personality work much better in the younger version. It's truly the best run of Spiderman comics I've read in my 25+ years of being a Spidey fan.
My comicartfans.com collection. Lots of Ryan Ottley:

Yup, thats the one! I am currently reading. I love the art and they did make a game based after it so it has to be decent.

I recently started my adventure and I'm kind of reading it ass backwards because I only have the modern Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man books and the newer Miles Morales as Spider-Man series. I've got the one you have in Spanish(for learning). What I've read of Ultimate Comics Spider-Man has been incredibly enjoyable, and when Peter Parker's story ends there's another great story to start. Ultimate Spider-Man is the one and only series that I have ever set out to own in completeness.
