MJ's the red-head.
She wins, hands down.

It's too close to call based on these scans. That silver number MJ is wearing is amazing!
Ew gross. Pedo fantasy meets destitute stripper. Gwen Stacy is like every female character from every tacky Z-list anime show ever!
On the other hand, the number MJ is wearing is iconic and immediately recognizable, along with the silver piece posted up thread and of course, the smart and slick attire she sported during her debut-
Now THAT is an effortless statement!

MJ seems like the obvious choice, being the model, but back at the time, ehhhh,
Well, I keep getting distracted for some reason by that terrible short hair cut she had for a little while. =p

Wow, Gwen sure liked the fishnet stockings!
I seem to remember MJ wearing alot of fashion nightmare combos during the early 90's. I think that kind've influenced my vote. (Her wedding gown was great though!)

I can't really say which one is better; they just had different styles that fit their personalities.
And yeah, MJ spent the seventies pretty coked up.

Their fashion really just depend on the comic book artists that are involved. It's not like comic book artists are the epitome of the fashion industry.
Of course there are some who actually think they themselves have a keen sense of style so the characters that they work on end up being the poor victims of those clothing choices LOL. Not saying all of them but some here in the US, dressing sharp and trendy isn't on the top of a comic book artist's lists of things to do. Not vain enough.
